Frequently Asked Questions

What types of businesses do you work with?

We work mainly with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across various industries. Typical requests are to implement an AI solution, improve an existing system, or build in-house AI skills through training. For a company of this size we fix the price of the proof of concept before it starts.

How long does a typical consulting project take?

Project timelines vary based on scope and complexity. Small-scale advisory engagements typically last 2-4 weeks, while implementation projects range from 3-6 months. Our process begins with a free 30-minute call. A discovery session with the team costs $500 and produces a written audit and a recommended scope. The complete project timeline aligns with our 5-step implementation process and is set from that recommended scope.

Do you offer remote consulting services?

Yes, we provide both on-site and remote consulting services. For many engagements, we use a hybrid approach with some on-site work complemented by remote collaboration. Training programs can also be delivered in-person or virtually.

How do you structure risks in a project?

The proof of concept has a fixed price and runs on our own infrastructure, so your IT security review does not delay it. You can stop the project at any weekly milestone. You are guaranteed a definitive answer; if the idea fails, we tell you why and suggest other options at no extra cost.

What happens on the call

With Ben Auffarth or one of our technical specialists.

  • We ask about your stack, your team and what you are trying to achieve Thirty minutes of questions, not a discovery form. What you already run, who runs it, and what would count as this having worked.
  • You get an honest read on where you are, and what we would do next Whether or not that involves us. If the next step is a data engineer rather than a model, we will say that.
  • No pitch deck If we are not the right fit, we say so on the call and point you somewhere better.

Four things that shorten the call

Rough answers are enough. Put them in the message above or bring them to the call.

  • The tools involved The software the task passes through today: a spreadsheet, a CRM, a ticketing system, an internal app. A list is enough.
  • What the task costs now Hours a week or pounds a month, as a rough guess. We score any change against this number, so a guess we can refine beats a blank.
  • Where the data lives Which systems hold it, who can export it, and whether it includes personal or regulated data. That decides whether the work can run on a cloud service or has to stay on your own hardware.
  • What you have already tried A stalled pilot, a tool you bought, a vendor demo. What happened tells us which approaches to skip.

Who we are not a fit for

  • A chatbot with no measurable target If nobody can name the number that should move, we cannot show that the work paid off. We ask for that number on the call.
  • A project with no access to the data Estimates built without a sample of your real data are guesses. Access can wait until after the first call, but someone has to be able to grant it.
  • A return under three times the cost When the projected return is less than three times the total cost, including the time people spend checking the output, we recommend against building. We run that check before any build work starts.
